Lived most of her life in Northwich, she never left the United Kingdom. She was born in the Castle area of Northwich. The terrace house is now a computer company. Its not open to the public. Sometimes I drive past and think of asking if I can just stand inside, just to be standing a place she once stood. To almost reach out in time and space to a past part of her. She has beautiful green eyes, eyes that twinkled. Her feet were size 5, they were the only slim part of her. She liked ankle straps and small Cuban heels, she liked royal blue and dresses with a pleated skirt. I was washed her best royal blue dress in rose scented water and ironed it so carefully for her to wear on her last journey. I washed and ironed love and longing into her dress, longing to see her once more. At her funeral the hymn "L watch the sunrise" was sung, just as it was sung at my wedding. She holder the words in her hands, the last thing I was able to give her. "I watch the sunrise, for you are always close to me, and I am always close to you. Ever close.
